After my husband and I got married, we wanted to establish an annual event that’d we’d host for our friends. Since we both love food… and beer… we decided upon a late-Summer/Autumn Chili Cook-off, officially dubbed The Festival Of All That Is Chili Eating and Beer Drinking.
Our friends loved it, and we loved being able to host it for them. (Did I mention I’ve become known as a host among our group?) I’ve had a lot of fun over the years coming up with different themes and invitations to go along with them, just to keep things interesting. We’ve done things like a Chopped-inspired mystery box year, or a Halloween candy year, or a Game of Thrones-inspired beans vs. no beans team year.
